Study Break

While exam week was certainly a time when our students got down to some serious work, there were also plenty of activities around campus for anyone in need of a fun and relaxing study break.

Some students grabbed lunch with their advisor at their favorite local restaurant, while others stopped by the hot chocolate bar offered in the Deans’ Office. Our rink had open hours in the afternoon for any student looking to skate off some restlessness, and students also practiced Mindfulness to help maintain healthy and positive perspectives.

The arts also provided some studying respite, with the Advanced Drawing class designing and illustrating a coloring book page (pictured below) for anyone wishing for a meditative study break. Expert pianist Timothy Ren ‘18, meanwhile, put together the ultimate study playlist of classical music and shared it with the school.

Finally, the student senate organized a special study break with the campus’ most popular, upbeat, and unconditionally loving residents: faculty dogs. Following morning exams, students joined a pack of furry friends in Stufac for some much-appreciated cuddling and playtime. Cider and snacks were served (to the students, not the dogs), and everyone left feeling refreshed!
