In the summer of 2008, the Middlesex Alumni Association developed a program that would support young alumni who had unique, unpaid summer internship opportunities. Designed to support the travel and living costs that can be associated with such internships, the Alumni Association Summer Internship Stipend Program has since helped many alumni in experiences ranging from work with the Foundation for African Medicine and Education in Tanzania to an internship with Earth Aid, a green energy group in Washington, DC.

“The Middlesex Alumni Association Internship Stipend Program gives us a tangible way to encourage young Middlesex alumni as they begin their careers.  Our goal is to assist applicants financially so that they may pursue rewarding, relevant, and often “out of the box” internships opportunities that they may not otherwise be able to accept due to financial constraints. By encouraging our young alumni so early on, we hope to deepen their already existing bond with the School, thereby fostering ongoing relationships with a whole new era of Middlesex graduates.”

– Jody Holden ’84, Co-Chair of the Career Advancement Committee

Member of the MxAA Board of Directors
