Joe is a graduate of Michigan State University with a B.S. in physical education and a minor in environmental education. Before coming to Middlesex, Joe spent seven years as the head coach of the Division I NCAA team at the University of Massachusetts. Previously, he was an assistant hockey coach at Boston College for seven years. Joe is the Massachusetts coach-in-chief/director of the USA Hockey National Coaching Education Program. He has also served as director of physical testing and dryland training instructor for the USA Hockey program, as well as an assistant coach for a number of USA select hockey teams for ages 16 and 17. His daughter Mary ’07 is a Middlesex graduate.
