The third Middlesex Alumni Association Gala Auction was held on April 10 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston and by any measure, this was the best one yet! A spirited crowd of alumni, parents, faculty and friends of Middlesex gathered at this extraordinary venue to enjoy one another’s company and to support the school they all care about so deeply. The outcome was a record amount of money raised: $278,000, a figure which is nearly double what came in during our last Gala Auction in 2013!
A lively silent auction took place during the evening’s cocktail hour, highlighted by a group of “Super Silent” items that garnered a great deal of interest. This was only the warm up act, however, as guests transitioned to the ballroom for dinner and the evening’s live auction. Auctioneer Paul Zekos provided everyone with an incredible show, entertaining all and creating a competitive bidding atmosphere among the very generous guests. As a result, everyone enjoyed a fun and memorable evening and the school raised important funds to support students, alumni, and faculty.
