On April 29 and 30, the Middlesex theatre department presented the musical “Pippin”, the story of a young prince determined to find his place in the world and meaning in his life. Originally performed on Broadway in 1972, this show was conceived to break down the imaginary “fourth wall” of the theater and directly address the live audience. In that spirit, Middlesex’s theatre department decided to stage this production in the round, an accomplishment not achieved on the Middlesex stage for decades. The show, featuring a cast and crew of 60 students of all grades, was spectacular!
