Moon Festival Celebration

On Saturday, September 26th, Middlesex celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, an important lunar holiday that is celebrated throughout Asia. Organized by Annie Ku, head of the Chinese department, and the student-run club Asian Society, the celebration included dumpling and mooncake workshops in the lobby of Ware Hall, where the Middlesex community, including many students, faculty members, and faculty children, enjoyed making and eating delicious Chinese food! Over a hundred people participated in this event, and made 350 dumplings and about 150 mini-mooncakes. This celebration provided domestic students with an opportunity to experience and understand a unique cross-cultural tradition. For Asian students, the celebration surely reminded them of the taste and atmosphere of home.
