Middlesex Presents “Pippin”

Pippin
Music and Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz
Book by Roger O. Hirson
Friday April 29 and Saturday April 30 8:00 PM

“Pippin” is the story of a young prince determined to find his place in the world and meaning in his life.  This coming of age story seems an apt journey for a high school to explore.  Originally performed on Broadway in 1972, this show was conceived to break down the imaginary “fourth wall” of the theater and directly address the live audience.  In that spirit, Middlesex’s theatre department has decided to stage this production in the round.  Moving half of the audience on to the stage, they transformed the Wood theatre into a more intimate and interactive space.

While admission is free and tickets are not necessary, reserved patron seating may be purchased for $25 each.  All proceeds from patron seating support financial aid for the theatre department’s biennial trip to London.  If you would like to reserve patron seating, please email Ryan DuBray: [email protected] and tickets will be billed to your school account.  Please specify the performance you will be attending and the number of tickets that you require.
