Landscaping Begins as Faculty Move into Landry House

Landry House is now a home: Three faculty families have moved into their new apartments as we put the finishing touches on the interior and exeterior of the building. Final landscaping is scheduled to complete this week, and we have planted a total of 24 trees that range in caliper from 2-4 inches.  The extensive planting plan included extending the beech tree grove along the main drive with the addition of native shrubs.  The landscaping crews have been working tirelessly to ensure the new additions to campus receive the appropriate amount of water during this dry stretch of weather.  Irrigation was connected to Bateman’s Pond and we have begun hydroseeding the loam around the building.

The job trailer has been removed and the last dumpster has been picked up.  Painters are the only remaining trade in the building applying final touch ups. As seen below, furniture for the common room has been delivered and we are looking forward to setting up student rooms with furniture early next week!
