Geo-Thermal Wells Continue to Impress on Site of Music and Campus Center

The Music and Campus Center continues to take shape and as the cold weather approaches (indeed, the campus has already seen snow!), the site continues to work toward being weather tight. Fiberglass mat gypsum sheathing has been installed around the entire building, with the exception of window openings. Window openings have been tarped due to weather and the crews are prepping for temporary heat as the temperatures in Concord drop.

The roof line has been defined with plywood, which was installed as a backing for the cornice. Furthermore, the roof has been sheathed and is ready for architectural shingle installation. Lastly, window flashing has begun in preparation for window delivery. Openings were cut into the existing recital hall walls to make way for picturesque windows.

The interior has seen significant improvements, as well. Framing is complete on the lower level and is 90% complete on the main floor. The recital hall continues to impress, as the concrete pours are nearly complete. A number of tiered pours has defined the stadium seating. Plumbers are working to complete pipe rough-ins throughout the building.

Lastly, crews were thrilled to learn a recent 24 hour draw down test proved the geo-thermal wells continue to operate at an optimal flow rate despite the recent drought.
