Family Weekend is designed to provide you with an opportunity to experience much of your student’s day-to-day life at school.  You will have the opportunity to meet the teachers, coaches, friends, and parents of friends who are important in your student’s experience here.

Check out the agenda for the weekend.

No.  Family Weekend activities are opt-in, and most attendees do it all!

Yes, that is the intent.  Advisors will make their availability known to their advisees. From there, a meeting can be scheduled at a mutually convenient time for you and the advisor.  Be sure to reach out to your student to inquire about those time slots.

No, not at this time.  For the safety of the community, COVID-19 protocols strictly limit access to the dormitories’ common and private spaces.

Students are expected to be in formal dress (jackets and ties for boys, similarly appropriate attire for girls), but guests typically dress in a “business casual” style.

Saturday is a little more relaxed, but be sure to bring the appropriate clothes for the forecasted weather.  Athletics will compete in most weather conditions, and we want you on the sidelines!

Due to space restrictions, your student will not be able to escort you or attend classes.  In addition to campus maps, there will be appointed staff and students (Alumni Ambassadors) that will be in the academic buildings to help you find your way.  We haven’t lost a parent yet!

Yes, there are.  First and foremost, only vaccinated guests will be allowed to attend Family Weekend. Yes, registration is required.  Online registration is available and is an easy way to sign up you and your guests.  We are STRONGLY RECOMMENDING that all families register online so that we can safely, and adequately, prepare for your arrival.

If you haven’t registered online, you will have to go through a bit of a longer in-person registration process once you arrive on campus.

Yes.  There are no classes on the Monday after Family Weekend, so most boarders leave campus with their families.  Some go home, and some whose family has traveled a distance – opt to stay somewhere locally to extend their visit.  All boarders are expected to check back into their dorms by 8:30 pm on Monday, November 1st.

No.  Students will continue get tested on a weekly basis.
