We hope that you are able to join us October 27-28th here at Middlesex for our annual Parents’ Weekend. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to spend some time with your student, meet their friends, visit classes and share stories with other parents. Whether you’re a new parent or a returning parent, it’s guaranteed to be a busy, fun-filled time.
Autumn is a wonderful time of year in New England and the colorful trees are a perfect backdrop for your visit to campus. The weekend kicks off unofficially on Thursday evening with a small welcome reception for our Parents of International Students. On Friday afternoon, events for all begin with College Counseling sessions for Parents of Seniors and Juniors, followed by four individual Class Receptions and an all-school dinner program. Early Saturday morning Freshman and Sophomore parents will gather for their own College Counseling sessions, and then all parents are invited to attend modified classes with their students. Fortify yourself for the afternoon with a delicious buffet lunch, and then cheer on the home team at any one of the many afternoon athletic competitions.
We are looking forward to seeing you, and encourage you to register early for the weekend.
And a reminder to parents of boarders: you are free to leave campus with your student after they have fulfilled all of their school-related commitments and have spoken with their Head of House. All boarders are due back on campus no later than 8:30pm on Monday, October 30th.
