Winter Concert Fills Chapel with Music and Joy

The Holiday Concert is the School’s annual celebration of the winter holidays in music.  Over the years, these concerts have presented a wide array of musical styles, from Renaissance motets to Duke Ellington.  The 2018 concert featured selections from Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria in D.

A chorus of over 100 students, faculty and staff joined together to sing holiday favorites like Silent Night and Chanukah, Oy Chanukah, and Choral Officers Jaden Chew ’19, Sean Tanabe ’19, Tess Kelley ’19, and Anna Ribeiro ’19 performed a beautiful a cappella arrangement of That’s Christmas to MeThe concert also featured outstanding instrumental performances: the Jazz Band contributed four pieces from Vince Guaraldi’s whimsical A Charlie Brown Christmasand the Chamber Ensemble accompanied Vivaldi’s Gloria in D with nuance, energy, and grace.
