Sled Hockey Fundraiser a Success

On February 20, the 10th Mountain Division Wounded Warriors Sled Hockey Team took the ice in a fundraiser game at Middlesex.  Over 30 Middlesex students strapped into sleds to compete side-by-side and against members of the Mountain Division Wounded Warriors team.  The mixed-squad Wounded Warriors beat the blended Middlesex team 5-1, but few will remember the final score; participants will take away the spirit of the evening and the sense of camaraderie.  The event raised over $1,000, an amount which will cover the purchase of a second set of jerseys for the Wounded Warriors team.

Lead by head coach Mark McKenna, the 10th Mountain Division hails from Fort Drum, New York, and comes to Middlesex via Associate Director of Admissions Chip Vigne.  For more information on how to support the Wounded Warriors team, please contact Chip Vigne at [email protected]
