How To ‘Be Mindful’ This Spring

The benefits of mindfulness have been getting a lot of press lately, as hospitals, schools, businesses, professional sports teams, and even Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes get involved in mindfulness practice. Over the last five years, mindfulness has become a central part of the Middlesex curriculum as well.

This past fall, freshmen described the nine-week mindfulness course as “the best class ever”, and this spring we are offering a variety of optional courses for students and faculty:

  • Mindfulness 1 – Introduction to Mindfulness – for those new to the mindfulness practice. 
  • Mindfulness 2 – Improving Your Practice – for those who want to improve their mindfulness practice….or just get back into it.
  • Individual Mindfulness: individual sessions for those who want to meet one on one (or come with a friend). 

As more members of the Middlesex community have become involved with mindfulness, this June will feature an on-campus, multi-day Mindfulness Retreat for the Middlesex community.
