Cards for Troops

Last Monday evening, over 125 students, faculty, staff, and faculty children gathered in Ware Hall to participate in Cards for Troops, an event that is quickly becoming one of the school’s favorite holiday traditions. Led by faculty members Pascale Musto, Paul Torres, and senior community service leaders, the group wrote and decorated holiday cards that will be mailed to a U.S Marine Corps stationed overseas. The letter writing campaign continued for two hours as the community took the opportunity to thank the servicemen and women whose commitment to our country keeps them far from home this holiday season.

“It was a fun and festive night,” Pascale recounts, noting that the group “wrote and decorated 173 cards, ate 11-12 lbs of sugar cookies, and drank 3 gallons of apple cider.”
