Alumni Volunteer at Bronx High School Career Day

A small group of alumni joined together to volunteer at the winter Career Day at the Laboratory School of Finance and Technology (MS/HS 223) in the Bronx on February 9. The school’s founding Principal is Dr. Ramon Gonzalez ’90. The school, which opened as a middle school in 2003, added a high school ten years later and celebrated its first class of high school graduates last spring. The school’s mission is to provide an engaging and rigorous academic program within a supportive and nurturing environment.

Over 50 volunteers participated in the Career Day, where they shared experiences related to their career and answered questions from the students and teachers. Jody Holden ’84, Katherine Brodie ’02, Odamea Akomah ’04, Andrew Abbott ’04, and Gavin Johnson ’09 were joined by Middlesex Senior Master Paul Harrison P’06’12 and Director of Alumni Relations John Morrissey P’18 at the event, which was organized by the Middlesex Alumni Association.
