Spring 2014 Academic Awards

After each semester at Middlesex, we gather to celebrate the academic achievements of our students at the Academic Awards Assembly.  At this week's assembly, we acknowledged work done in the 2014 spring semester.  To open the assembly, Head of School Kathy Giles bestowed faculty chairs on Madame Jordan, Head of the French Department and a Middlesex teacher since 1987, and Dr. Schaeberle, Head of the Math and Sciences Division.

There are 2 levels of “Honors” that Middlesex School bestows on a student for a semester’s work:  For a scholastic average between 85 – 89.99, students are awarded “Honors.”  The second level is "High Honors," for an average of 90 and above.  Click here for a complete listing of the students receiving academic honors.

Over 1,500,000 juniors took the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying exam for the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Competition.  Two of our seniors are among 16,000 Semifinalists being considered for a National Merit Scholarship.  Congratulations to Kyle Finke and Matt McKenna.
