This fall the Middlesex community service program is working with Heading Home, a Boston-based nonprofit that gets homeless families into permanent housing through a program called Up-and-Out moves. Middlesex volunteers collected furniture and moved it into the family's new home on Sunday, November 2nd. On the move-in day, after the group finished assembling everything in the apartment, the family arrived, and the Middlesex volunteers had a chance to greet them as they walked into their new home for the first time. For all involved, it was a rewarding experience. Thanks to the many Middlesex families who supported the project.
