For the fourth year, Middlesex young alumni will compete against other New England secondary schools in an annual competition called the "February Faceoff." This interscholastic event will track donations made by alumni in the classes of 2004-2013 made to the Annual Funds of their respective alma maters only during the month of February 2014.
While Middlesex won in 2011, Brooks claimed the competition in 2012 and 2013, beating Middlesex by only half a percent of participation last year (for Middlesex's young alumni base, this meant a difference of only about 5 donors). However, Middlesex closed the fiscal year in June with the highest young alumni participation of all, proving the loyalty and generosity of our alumni. This year, we are hoping for the 800 members of the classes of 2004-2013 to show their support through a gift of any size to the Annual Fund, in direct support of faculty salaries, financial aid, and the current operating budget.
This year, Middlesex will take on familiar rivals: Brooks, BB&N, Governor's Academy, Groton, St. Mark's, Tabor, Cushing, and Lawrence Academy. We hope that the participation of our young alumni in the Faceoff this year will reaffirm the loyalty and philanthropy our alumni body demonstrates throughout the year through their attendance at events, their engagement on social media, and through their generous support of the Annual Fund and larger Capital projects.
