After a standout performance in the 2014 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) Championships, David Lawson '09 was featured on the cover of the August edition of the New England Lacrosse Journal. Emerging as one of the top players in the game, Lawson was named to the All-World Team for his stellar play throughout the Championships in Commerce City, Colorado in July.
During the Championships, the 24-year-old scored 13 goals and assisted on four more for the United States, including a four-goal/two-assist game against Australia in the semifinals. Upon graduating from Middlesex as one of the top lacrosse recruits in the country, Lawson played for Duke University, where he was selected as a 2013 First Team All-American, a 2013 All-ACC selection and was the top-scoring midfielder his senior year.
