Alumni at the 2013 Head of the Charles Regatta

Middlesex School

Middlesex alumni gathered on the Charles River in Cambridge, MA for the biggest two-day regatta in the world: the Head of the Charles.  For the second year in a row, nine Middlesex alumnae joined forces in the Alumni Eights event.  This year, the boat included alumnae spanning three decades, with graduates from 1993 through 2013, including three current Middlesex faculty members and two sisters.  One of only four high school alumnae crews in a field of 36 that included national powerhouses such as the University of Virginia, University of Michigan, Dartmouth, Brown, Northeastern, and Williams, the Middlesex alumnae represented the School with aplomb, finishing 14th overall.  Congratulations to Laura Rothman '96, Kathy Smithwick '08, Erika Ferlins Mills '99, Laura Horton '06, Liz McColloch '99, Sarah Kate Read '13, Olivia Blain '09, Louisa Savage '09, and Debbie Rothman Darlington '93.

On the banks of the river, at Reunion Village, dozens of Middlesex alumni and friends gathered at the Middlesex tent to cheer on the racers and to enjoy the beautiful fall weather.  In addition to the alumnae boat, the following Middlesex alumni rowed for their colleges and clubs:

Monk Terry '64 - Alte Achter Boat Club

Gardner Loring '02 - Hobart College Alumni

Louisa Berky '04 - Williams Alumni

Molly Fales '04 - Evergreen Boat Club (Dartmouth) Alumni
