Middlesex was recently granted the Access Award by A Better Chance for opening doors to greater education opportunities by graduating more than 50 ABC scholars. The award was presented by Curtis Smith MX'76, who discussed how attending Middlesex as an ABC scholar changed the trajectory of his life. After Middlesex, Smith went on to attend Union College and is now a businessman.
Since 1963, A Better Chance has been opening the door to educational opportunities for thousands of young people of color. Their mission is to increase substantially the number of well-educated young people of color who are capable of assuming positions of responsibility and leadership in American society.
