MX Off-Broadway Double Header

Head of the Performing Arts Division Tom Kane kicked off his spring break by seeing two Middlesex alumnae perform in two different sold out Off Broadway productions. He started out on Saturday afternoon by seeing Liv Rooth (MX '99) in the 20th Anniversary re-staging of David Ives's classic comedy, "All in the Timing" at Primary Stages.  Liv has been doing a lot of David Ives recently, appearing as Vanda in "Venus in Furs" last year on Broadway.  In the evening, Tom got to see Mary Mallen's ( MX'07) New York debut in the Irish Repertory Theatre's musical production of "Donnybrook!"  Mary, a recent graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, just moved back to the states in January and was lucky enough to land the first role she auditioned for in NYC.  The shows were both a lot of fun, and you don't have to take Tom's word for it - just check out the press: "All in Timing" and "Donnybrook!".  If you are in NYC, try to catch these shows before they end their runs in late April!
