After winning gold at the New England Interscholastic Rowing Association championships, the Girls' Varsity Crew first boat headed to Oak Ridge, Tennessee, for US Rowing Youth Nationals from June 7-9th.  Competing against 18 other crews from around the country, Middlesex placed third in their first heat to propel them to the repechages on Saturday.  After placing second in their rep, the girls moved on to the semifinals on Saturday evening.  Their fifth place finish in the semifinals was not high enough to race for gold in the finals, but they did advance to the B-finals, where their third-place finish made them one of the top ten crews in the country!

Congratulations to coach Laura Darby McNally '80 and the girls' first boat, Miranda Gish '14 (stroke), Kathryn Regan '14, Sarah Kate Read '13, Charlotte Silk '14, and Bettina Lichauco '15 (cox)!
