Boston Harbor Sparkles from the Courthouse

Over 125 parents and alumni gathered for a cocktail reception in the Atrium of the John Joseph Moakley United States Courthouse located on Boston’s waterfront.  As if on cue, the overcast skies cleared and guests were treated to a truly spectacular view of the harbor front.  In addition to catching up with old friends, all of our guests were in attendance to honor Malcolm Russell as he prepares for retirement after 35 years of coaching and teaching at Middlesex.

Board of Trustees President, Pete Olney ’66 P’00 ’00 and Head of School, Kathy Giles P ’06 ’09 ’11 welcomed all in attendance, and thanked Malcolm for his dedication and passion. Kevin Landry ’62 P’88 ’89 ’94 provided humor – and some thoughts on Malcolm as both a lifelong friend and educator.  In accepting his honorary membership to the Middlesex Alumni Association, Malcolm delighted all with his candor, animation and thoughtful perspective.

Some photos of the evening are available for viewing on Flickr.
