Perfect day at Myopia Hunt Club

Sixty-five alumni, parents, and friends of Middlesex gathered on a gorgeous autumn day for the seventh annual Middlesex Alumni Association Golf Tournament at the Myopia Hunt Club on October 17. All guests were treated to a terrific test of golf skills on this historic course, which hosted multiple U.S. Open championships in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The course was in pristine shape and all participants enjoyed a great day of camaraderie and fun.

Following play, all golfers were invited back to a brief cocktail reception at the club while the scores of the day were tabulated.   This year’s winning foursome was comprised of Jim Oates ’65, Justin Oates ’98, David Mulvany ’98, and Nick Schieffelin ’98, who barely edged out the second place team of Nat Kessler ’89, Eric Harnden ’88, Mason Power ’90, and Tom Hudner ’91. A group featuring Jamie Fagan ’77, Brent Berc ’99, Graham Taylor ’99, and Rob Trumbull ’00 finished third.  Awards were plentiful, and many golfers claimed bragging rights as they collected their prizes.

Tales of the day’s golfing endeavors continued on into the evening at the home of Rick and Chessye Moseley P’05’07’11 where all in attendance were treated to a delicious sit down dinner and continuing good cheer.
