Visual Arts Center Enters the Frame

Steel workers are erecting steel in 4 phases to allow access for other trades to begin pouring slabs, and making the building weather tight.  Phase 1 of steel erection is complete.  Phase 1 included structural framing within the theater as well as installation of the new mezzanine which is pictured below:

Phase 2 of steel erection is also complete having framed the new entrance to the theater as well as the entire western facing facade.

Steel workers are currently erecting phase 3 of steel, which entails framing the new Visual Arts Center.  The rendering of the new Visual Arts Center is below along with a photo of the steel from a similar angle:

While steel continues to move along on schedule, the team has excavated and begun to pour the foundations for the modified orchestra pit.  Once the pit is in place, crews will hang catwalks, pour the sloped slab, and begin framing walls within the theater.
