Full skeleton of Theatre and Visual Arts Center in place

Construction on the Middlesex Theatre & Visual Arts Center has proceeded nicely through the winter months.  The final phase of steel installation is underway, and will be completed on April 4. Concrete pours continue and the theater, theater lobby/entry, and art gallery space are all taking shape.

The full skeleton of the Visual Arts Center is also in place, offering the community its first glimpse of the relationship between this new facility and the rear of Eliot Hall.  The views from the Terry Room are amazing!
The black box theatre space is also well underway, adding a flexible space for creative drama and performance.

The upper level mindfulness studio and art history classrooms provide some of the best view on campus from the upper level of the new complex.

By late April, the building will be weather tight, and work on finish details will continue in earnest through the summer.
