May 15th and 16th

On May 15th & 16th, Middlesex will welcome back all members of the classes of 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, and 2015 for our annual two-day celebration known as Alumni Weekend. Additionally, esteemed members of our Old Guard (all alumni who graduated at least 51 years ago) are invited to join us for all of the traditional weekend activities.

Reunion Classes

Reunion committees representing each reunion class have begun to organize and will be communicating with their classmates regarding reunion details and class giving.  Reunion Class Information includes a list of committee members, Friday night plans, and any additional planning details for each reunion year.

Schedule

Our two-day schedule is carefully balanced to provide our alumni with a fun and engaging weekend. Friday night features milestone 25th and 50th dinners, and a special Old Guard dinner program, “Middlesex Athletics,” hosted by Dean of Athletics Joe Lang P’99’06. Reunion committees for the remaining reunion years are planning more casual gatherings for their classmates. Please see Reunion Class Information for updates.

Saturday highlights include a morning Alumni Assembly where you will hear from Steve Lari ’90 President, Board of Trustees, and David Beare, Head of School, as they share observations of campus life and discuss upcoming initiatives. Directly following the Assembly is the presentation of the Henry Cabot Lodge 1920 Distinguished Alumni Award to Steve Carell ’80.

Following lunch, alumni and guests will head over to the new Bass Arts Pavilion and into the Kaye Theatre for a thoughtful and compelling discussion about the history of racial diversity at Middlesex and the ongoing efforts to foster an inclusive and engaged community of color.

Finally, all alumni and their guests will gather under the Reunion Tent for the traditional Woodman’s New England Clambake. Great food, music, friends, and – don’t forget -class photos!

Registration

There is a flat fee of $50.00 for any alumni or their adult guests to attend any or all of the reunion activities taking place over the weekend. There will be no fee for the graduates of the Class of 2015, but there is a flat fee of $50.00 per adult guest.  Click for online registration or you may call us at 978-371-6509 to register.

During the Clambake, free Saturday night childcare will be provided for alumni children ages 4-12 years old, but all children must be pre-registered for childcare.

Travel and Accommodations

While many of our returning alumni can make the trip back to Concord by car, a significant number of our alumni are spread out across the country and around the world, so we consider ourselves fortunate to be located close to a travel hub such as Boston. Whatever your mode of transportation, we’ve got the directions that will help you to get back to campus.

Overnight accommodations are plentiful in and around the Concord area, but it’s always best to plan ahead, especially during the busy month of May. If you will be staying overnight, you may want to contact one of the many local hotels & inns. As a further consideration, many alumni opt to stay in one of the Boston area hotels because of the wide variety of activities and events offered throughout the city.

Stay Connected

We were excited to launch a new online community for Middlesex Alumni this past fall, and even more thrilled with how many users signed up!

This exclusive portal will allow users to find other alumni with whom they can connect socially, network professionally, and post or explore job opportunities. Please take a moment to go onto the new Alumni Online Community and join a growing base of MX alumni to connect and explore.

If you don’t want to join this new group but would like to make sure that we have your most up-to-date contact information, please contact Data Coordinator Clair Ball at 978-371-6509 or [email protected].

Class Notes

Another way to stay connected is to tell us what you’re up to! Have you recently moved, got a promotion, married, become a parent or grandparent, or perhaps gone on a vacation?  Class Notes is the place to share. High resolution (300 dpi) photos are encouraged.

Questions?

We hope that you’ll find all of this information helpful with your weekend planning, but if there is something that we’ve missed, please contact Director of Alumni Relations John Morrissey P’18’22 at [email protected] or 978-371-6523.
