Middlesex students are familiar with many types of connections in their lives. They connect with our experienced faculty members inside and outside of the classroom. They connect with their peers in the hallways, in their dorms, and on the fields. They connect with a good book or a discussion in our Warburg Library.  Students at Middlesex will also need to make connections through a myriad of technology resources.

Middlesex maintains two student-accessible technology centers on campus: one in the Warburg Library and one in Eliot Hall.  The Library has over a dozen public computers, and the Technology Center in Eliot Hall has 6 public computers, 6 Chromebook stations, and a mobile iPad cart for student and faculty use.  Middlesex dormitories are also each outfitted with a public student computer and printer center.  Middlesex is a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) school, and thus all of our learning spaces are designed to support both our devices and the personal devices of our students.  All of our students agree to sign our Acceptable Use Policy and adhere to our standards of good digital citizenship.

We believe that the use of technology is most effective when it adds value to the student’s learning experience, enhances the pedagogical tools of our experienced faculty, and increases the productivity of our school community. Our technology initiatives and practice are intentionally aimed to support the school’s core values and mission.

At Middlesex learning occurs anytime and anyplace, so our campus is devoted to accessibility. The Middlesex campus is fully connected via our state-of-the-art wireless network and is protected by our dual-layered firewall and monitoring system. Our dorms and classrooms are all connected through our LAN/WAN network systems to provide access for our faculty, staff, and students.  Online learning and communication tools such as Moodle and Google Apps have also been fully integrated into our campus environment to serve the needs of the school.
