Allen is a co-founder and managing director of Overseas Strategic Consulting, Ltd., an international consulting company founded in 1992 that provides public information and behavior change services in emerging and post-conflict societies. Since 1985, he has also directed his interest to the fields of real estate, finance, and investment. Previously, he was an associate with and then counsel to Dechert Price & Rhoads, Philadelphia’s second largest law firm with a wide range of corporate, banking, and entrepreneurial clients.

Allen has extensive experience as a trustee, having served on the boards of numerous companies and schools, as well as organizations concerned with the arts, service, and the environment. Among his other current nonprofit affiliations are: The Academy of Natural Science, The Jerusalem Foundation, The Pershing Square Foundation, and Mid-Atlantic Audubon. On the for-profit side, Allen is a board member of The Howard Hughes Corporation and Q’ligent Inc., and he is an advisory board member of Pershing Square Capital Management and Post Commercial Real Estate. He is also chairman of the Leo Model Foundation.

A graduate of Harvard, Allen earned an M.S.W. at Columbia and a J.D. at the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.
