The MSSA Program
The MSSA program was founded in 1986 to give unique opportunities in performing arts, visual arts and recreation to young people ages 8 - 16. The Middlesex School campus offers an outstanding setting in which these experiences can take place. The program's goal is to encourage young people to explore new means of expression through their interest in the arts. MSSA provides a unique opportunity for young people to choose their own schedules, guided by professional and dedicated instructors experienced in working with young people. In an encouraging and supportive atmosphere, creative talents are nourished for a lifetime of enjoyment.
Junior Arts
The MSSA Jr. Arts program is specifically geared for ages seven and eight (who are new to MSSA). Children travel to activities as a group throughout the morning. Activities include Theatre, music, movement, visual arts, games, and swimming. Children eat together with the full camp outside (indoors in bad weather). After lunch, children attend the Noontime Show, with dismissal just after 1:00. Jr. Arts campers participate in the camp cookout, Festival Day, and the Noontime Shows.
