On November 12-13, Middlesex presented the 2010 fall play, The Sparrow, to full houses. Students, faculty, staff, and parents enjoyed watching the cast of 15 student actors and 30 technical assistants as a semester’s worth of hard work came to fruition.
While it was truly an ensemble show, the pace was set by the senior actors: Grace, Henry, Michael, Bryce, Helen, and Janet. Tom Kane, who directs the theatre program, explained that this play was particularly special for him because “the process was the most collaborative in recent history,” with Tom and Ryan working daily with cast members to invent the staging of this challenging and imaginative play.
