Danyoung ’12 arrived at Middlesex as a freshman a long way from home in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Although, as Danyoung puts it, she didn’t really know what a home was until she came to Middlesex:  “I admit that throughout my childhood I did not know what home was for me.  I never felt I had a place I could call ‘my place.’”

Anita '13 and Nikita '13 are two boarding students from New Hampshire. In this video they perform the piece Marakatha Manimaya. Kuchipudi, which is the style of the dance, is one of the oldest forms of classical dance that exists in India today; the plate is particular to Kuchipudi. The piece describes the Hindu god called Krishna. Nikita and Anita have been doing the dance since the age of six, and plan on doing it for the rest of their lives.

Bateman's Bullfrogs (boys' group) and the MXolydians (girls' group) are the elite a cappella groups at Middlesex. They perform collegiate-style popular music and are the featured performers for many formal and informal school functions.On February 6 the Middlesex Small Chorus traveled to St. Mark's School to perform at the 14th annual Wick Festival.The Wick Festival was established in 1992 by the family and friends of Myron A. Wick, Jr. '33 in honor of his lifelong enjoyment of singing. The festival provides a rare opportunity for public and independent school a cappella groups from New England to perform together in a cooperative spirit.

On February 6 the Middlesex Small Chorus traveled to St. Mark's School to perform at the 14th annual Wick Festival.The Wick Festival was established in 1992 by the family and friends of Myron A. Wick, Jr. '33 in honor of his lifelong enjoyment of singing. The festival provides a rare opportunity for public and independent school a cappella groups from New England to perform together in a cooperative spirit.
