Careers at Middlesex

CAREERS AT MIDDLESEX

Middlesex occupies a fortunate and compelling place in the independent school world as a residential school situated in a historic suburban setting, yet also within striking distance of one of the major metropolitan centers on the East Coast (Commuter Rail and transit to Boston/Cambridge is easily manageable within a 30 minute transit).  The adult culture at Middlesex is supportive and friendly, featuring genuine partnership between adults and students across faculty and staff lines.

Faculty responsibilities include coaching, extra-curricular, and residential life duties in addition to teaching; each job posting below will contain specific requirements for individual positions. Most successful candidates have advanced degrees and successful teaching experience at the secondary school level; however, we remain interested in any strong candidate who can add to the depth, quality, and character of our community, regardless of particular experience.

We are fully staffed for teaching faculty positions for the current 2011-12 academic year. Faculty and Staff positions for the next academic year, 2012-2013, are posted below.  Initial contacts and interviews for open positions usually begin in the time period around our transition from first to second semester (late January) and continue as needed until positions are filled.
