Middlesex Annual Fund
Why is there an Annual Fund?
In order to provide our students and faculty with the resources they need to learn and grow, Middlesex solicits gifts for our Annual Fund. Annual Fund dollars are unrestricted, current use funds that directly support the School's operating budget. Twelve percent of Middlesex's budget is provided by gifts from alumni, parents, and friends to the Annual Fund. This percentage is one of the highest among our peer schools.
What does my Annual Fund gift support?
Annual Fund dollars go directly into the budget, so if something happens at Middlesex, your Annual Fund gift helps support it. Specifically, the Annual Fund helps provide faculty salaries and benefits in order to attract and retain the best teachers and coaches available; the Fund allows Middlesex to offer financial aid to talented and deserving students; the Annual Fund enables the School to offer a challenging curriculum, as well as opportunities in athletics and the arts.
Why is my gift important?
We rely on your support of the Annual Fund each year. Because Middlesex has always been a small school, we need each alumnus/a to give as generously as possible in order to give our students and faculty the financial support they deserve. Also, foundations that might be considering a grant to Middlesex look closely at the rate of alumni participation in the Annual Fund as a gauge of the strength of Middlesex. We need your support to keep our alumni participation rate among the best in the country.
