Step I: Interview
  • Not required, but strongly recommended
  • Call the Admissions Office at 978-371-6524 to schedule an appointment. (Interviews begin September 17th, 2008 and are offered every day that class is in session)
Step II: Application
  • Postmarked by January 15 for day applicants
  • Postmarked by January 31 for boarding applicants
  • Late applicants will be considered for a wait list position
  • Include $50 non-refundable fee or $100 fee for residents outside the U.S. (Please send in U.S. dollars drawn from a U.S. bank)
  • Include a photocopy or an original graded and corrected English paper
Step III: Transcript
  • Please ask a school official to send directly to us a transcript through the current marking period of this year
  • Submit updated grades through January, 2009
Step IV: Recommendation Forms
  • Middlesex School accepts the Common Recommendation forms, but also asks for a Foreign Language Recommendation included with this package of material. We suggest you include a stamped envelope addressed to Middlesex School when you distribute these forms to the appropriate people. Please suggest that they retain a copy for their records.

Step VI: Required Testing
  • The Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) or Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) is required for applicants
  • Test dates for SSAT: October 11, 2008, November 8, 2008, December 13, 2008, January 10, 2009
  • Test scores must be sent to Middlesex directly from the testing service
  • The Middlesex SSAT code is 5068

Step VII: Notification
  • Day and boarding students will be notified of admission by March 10, 2009
  • Accepted students must sign and return enrollment contracts by April 10, 2009 in order to reserve their spot at Middlesex
