Middlesex offers an exciting academic program that allows students to pursue knowledge across the intellectual disciplines under the guidance and support of a talented, experienced, and engaging faculty.

Our academic departments offer rich and varied course selections for students, and although our requirements are rigorous, students exercise a great deal of choice – from a variety of history courses in the freshman and sophomore year to five different language offerings to an array of advanced courses for juniors and seniors in addition to twenty-four Advanced Placement offerings.

In addition to its breadth and depth, our program is distinguished by a four-course rotation through the fine arts for our freshmen; the Writing Workshop for sophomores; and an Independent Study Program for seniors. In each department and discipline, the average number of students in each class is eleven, enabling each student the opportunity to participate fully in the life of the classroom.
